Posted By Taff2 I'm not an IT expert so I do not know how difficult it would be to do this, but:
Would it be possible to have a discussion / expert forum - where an IOSH member / moderator can be allocated / volunteered to provide answers on some FAQs on general topics that regularly appear on this site: e.g. RIDDOR - FLT training.
Those who are genuinely looking for advice can go to that forum to review best practices / previous queries / responses - before they clutter this discussion site
Thoughts???

"Messages posted on the forums do not constitute advice and do not reflect the values of IOSH. Postings made by forum users should not be relied upon in making or refraining from making any decision."
This appears at the head of this forum and in my view makes it possible for anyone, and I do mean anyone not just IOSH members, to offer opinion or guidance in a "free" manner. I would guess that to have the forum you describe would need careful management and would be providing a service that might have a financial worth to both parties. A totally different concept to a public forum.IMHO

Good idea but like most things on this forum...it has been mooted previously.
I have on occasions used the 'search forums' when looking for a particular subject. However, it must use the worst search engine in the world. Perhaps it's just me. My point is, that maybe the search forums could be utilised in a more constructive way and advertised to that effect eg alphabetically.
