In the front of an Accident Book (DPA approved) it states that "You must keep a record of injuries that happen to employees if you own ........."

Does this mean that if the IP IS NOT an EMPLOYEE then the book isnt filled in ?????
ie member of the public ??

Accident book (new style) states on page (ii) "You must also record any accidents involving visitors or members of the public on your premises".

Irrespective of what it might say on the front of your accident book my advice is to ensure that every incident involving visitors to the premises (contractors, members of the public etc) is religiously recorded in the book as there is a strong chance that a spurious claim will follow at some point. For this reason I would also record the incident in great detail elsewhere, including an investigation report and statements from any independent witnesses.
