Hi
Does anyone have any guidance or documentation for engineering project risk assessment?

We have a need to assess new activities but some projects are complex and may be done off site, whereas others may progress to on site assembly etc.

We are currently considering some type of pre-project assessment checklist, followed by the logging of any risk controls needed and then finally feedback from the event.

Any sensible suggestions would be most welcome.

You could consider the various checklists and guidance developed by HSC and CITB Constructionskills and other professional associations in a CDM (Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2007)context and mirror this in an engineering context?
Does that make any sense?

Try the search term "managing construction" at www.fifedirect.org.uk and you may find a document with a suitable checklist in it.

Thanks for the response. I guess that you knew what I was trying to say.

Your right, this issue is similar to CDM although I haven't managed to find any forms yet.

Regards

Lyndon
