Some of our employees are required to visit a laundry in the course of their duties. This particular laundry deals with surgeons' clothing and other material that has been soiled with bodily fluids. Can anyone point me in the direction of guidance in dealing with this type of issue?
I should point out that they do not handle the soiled laundry in any way, merely observing the process and the laundry is in Mexico.

Sharps are a common problem, 'lost' within hospital laundry and cuasing injury and infection to laundry workers.
If your staff are told not to touch, make sure they do just that.
Another common problem is that of faecal soiling of bedlined by incontinent patients resulting in enteric infection among those exposed. Respiratory protection is not practicable, but vaccination against Hep A is and should be considered together with all of the other travel health precautions.
An if they do get Montezuma's revenge, a comprehensive medicine kit might be advisable - check with a pharmacist, or better still an accredited travel health clinic.
