Posted By Jay Joshi Regulation 39 of The Construction (General Provisions) Regulations 1961 has been revoked since 2nd September 1996 The Construction (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1996 that came into force on 2nd September 1996 revoked the significant majority of the “old construction regulations i.e :- The Construction (General Provisions) Regulations 1961:- Regulations 8 to 19, 21, 23 to 41, 45 to 51, 53 and 56. The Construction (Working Places) Regulations 1966. :- The whole instrument. The Construction (Health and Welfare) Regulations 1966.:- The whole instrument. CDM 2007 consolidated CDM 2004 and The Construction (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1996 into a single set of Construction Regulations! Regulation 29 of CDM 2007 deals with Demolition, but there is a general duty on Contractors via Regulation 13(2) for ALL construction projects on every contractor to plan, manage and monitor construction work carried out by him or under his control in a way which ensures that, so far as is reasonably practicable, it is carried out without risks to health and safety The ACOP to Regulation 13(2)is that contractors should always plan, manage, supervise and monitor their own work and that of their workers to ensure that it is carried out safely and that health risks are also addressed.

Posted By Tim Corbett Thank you very much for the answers. It was a control quoted in a contractors CPHSP. I had no way of checking back if that part of the reg was still current but as it was from a Competent Contractor as part of a CDM project I had to be sure. Thank you again
