I am looking to imlement a e-learning solution for our DSE needs. Does anybody have any recommendations based on experience of using a product within the marketplace?

I am considering SafetyMedia and Praxis 42 at present, but would like feedback on other systems out there that people think offer a good training level and simplicity of use.

Our idea is that the software will conduct the assessments and provide training, with our Occ Health Advisor getting involved where people have identified an issue with their workstation or other aspect of assessment.

Any advice appreciated!

Paul

Hi

I have been using DSeasy by Chaos ergonomics finding it user friendly and relatively simple to use. They also give a good back up if you run into any problems.

Have a look at Cardinus.

Its the system the HSE use.

Don't just look at the DSE training itself - as generally most of the packages out there are very similar my view. Consider the LMS (learning management system) as well, this is usually where the real problems occur in my experience (and I'm certainly aware of some historical major problems with one of the companies previously mentioned - but I'm not going to name them!!)

I'm in the process of implementing Cardinus and would also recommend it (although beware of connection speeds if your network is a bit slow - when they come in to demonstrate, make sure you use it on-line, not just the demo on the salesman's laptop!).

Cardinus is part of a suite of H&S training applications, so have a look at what else they offer while you're there.

It is the system the HSE use internally, as someone has already said - it's also used internally by one of the major unions although I can't remember which one. Could be useful in winning user-acceptance.

I read somewhere recently that IOSH has accredited some of the Safety Media e-learning modules, is this true?
