Posted By Chris Packham Austin,
Remember that a COSHH risk assessment is concerned with the risks arising out of the actual use of the product. Thus for anyone to help you with additional information they will need to know what you propose to do with it, how it will be applied, what actual (or possible) exposure to the material (whether respiratory, airborne, direct skin contact) etc. can occur and to what extent, etc. Factors such as frequency of exposure, location on body for skin exposure, duration of exposure, etc. will need to be taken into your assessment. Only when all the relevant facts pertaining to the task are known can these be applied to the hazard of the actual paint to determine the risk. You may need also to consider other chemicals that may be associated with its use, e.g. pre application cleaning/degreasing chemicals, skin cleansers used afterwards, etc. Chris
