storage of asbestos contaminated protective clothing

At present returned protective clothing that may be contaminated with asbestos is double bagged and labled, then put into labled wheely bins in a segrigated area in the stores, do these bins need to be locked?

Yes. THey also need to go to a specialist laundry.
