Are fork lift trucks classed as lifting equipment under loler or work equipment under puwer or both

If loler are they classed as a lifting device that carries people - 6 monthly service or items 12 monthly services

Steve,

FLT's are covered under both. If lifting under LOLER, towing or anyhting else under PUWER.

FLT can be fitted with attachments for working platforms (not ideal but can be used) in which case 6 monthly.

Otherwise as per LOLER but six monthly for all lifting tackle.

PUWER will cover the daily inspection before use, maintenance intervals/regimes etc.
