Posted By Laurence Wickens When are the HSE going to employ an official spokesperson, somebody with a some PR experience and dare I say a bit of charm?
A few weeks back a HSE spokesperson on the Tonight programme ('No more heroes')was totally out of her depth in response to interviewer.
Today on Radio 2 today ('Unstable gravestones') the HSE were unavailable for live comment to counter the argument.
The people at the top don't do much to help themselves and indeed us practitioners.

... the simple (but not simplistic) answer is when sufficient taxpayers want to pay for the skills you advocate.
As taxpayers owe no advantage to any particular profession, they are apt to view HSE professionals rather like police officers or prison officers, rather than doctors, teachers and nurses, and to be willing to invest in them with similar enthusiasm and appreciation.
