Has any one carried a risk assessment for a construction companies yard, where materials are stored, skips are placed for waste materials, deliveries are made, forklift trucks are used etc etc
If anyone has got one I can look at its much appreciated

Just a point but why risk assess the Yard its the activities that are carried out there that may nee to be risk assessed. It is not the yard that causes the risk its the activities that are carried out there. Think in smaller terms and you wil soon see the way ahead. Try starting with a list of each activity that is undertaken there and work from there. It is really quite easy.

You will need to address the issues and how they interact:

workplace transport
hazardous materials
visitor vehicles
storage of other materials
intruders/arson etc

I think it is not possible for you to use someone else's risk assessment as your own circumstances will be so different - just break it down into the component parts and take it from there.

HSE has some good guidance on all these individually
