I can't recall seeing a list of must haves anywhere - if there is I hope someone posts it here.
From my experience trucks operating outside have both. Inside only a horn. Unless someone can tell me differently I've always viewed the light as an optional extra ( although a very worthwhile one ).
Stand-on type fork lifts ( for warehouse operations ) don't have the light either.

They must be fitted with a horn to meet manufacturing standards e.g. CE.
Any requirements for the visual warning systems will come via your risk assessment process. I don't think that many manufactures these days would not fit them as standard.
Read up in HSG 6 or contact RTITB all you need will be found here.

Posted By Ray Wilkie All fork lifts have to have a horn fitted. Every where i've worked if the horn is inoperative the fork lift is taken out of service until fixed. Ray
