Would anyone be able to point me in the right direction please?

Are there any specific regs that apply to Caravan Parks/Campsites that you know of (other than the general regs)

Who regulates them and where would I find guidance?

Am I correct in my assumption that such areas are licensed by Local Authorities and they therefore set the rules?

thanx in advance for any assistance

There was a change in regulations in 2005 with regards to touring caravans and camping (DEFRA guide above) granting exemptions to a large number of caravan and camping sites.
Differing rules apply to mobile home parks with a 10 month LA licence and to Residential mobile (Park style) homes.
Also differing rules again applying to caravan sites used by 'travellers' and not 'tourers' and also static type vans.
hope this all helps, one happy tin tent tower!

Your local authority Environmental Health Department deals with the majority of legislation and the licensing of caravans and campsites.

However, there is an overlap with Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order for the common parts and the vans themselves depending if the site is a Holiday or Residential use.

Hope this helps.

I believe CLG was considering to reviewing the model standards and up dating in light of the Fire Saftey Order but only managed to consult on a draft which has not been issued.

Hope this helps.
