Does anyone have experience of the H&S issues at hostels.
I am being asked to provide an overview of the risks and would appreciate any pointers or anecdotes that might help.

Hi Peter
When I worked for a local Housing Association we also had a few hostels, the main concerns:
Who we have in the hostels?
Drug users (known)
Alcholics (known)
Any lone females?
Families?
Safety of cleaners (communal areas)
Safety of staff (visiting residents)
Call out procedures (if fire alarm goes off etc)
I will try and find the risk Assessment out and pass it on.
