Posted By Heathrow Hi all, I've a site within my remit that is looking ever more likely to fail to meet its enfocement notice improvements. Two queries if I may ?
How likely are we to be locked out(It is over a major issue) ?
Do the staff have any rights to pay etc, given this is a management issue ?

Posted By andrew morris Hi,
I'm not sure I understand your query - but I think you are asking about not complying with a legal notice - the reaction by the enforcing authority greatly depends on the subject (fire authorities take a different stance to h&s) if you provide more info, we may be able to help you more.

If you have not got a good excuse for not complying with Improvement Notice you will be in trouble. You can try talking to Local Authority and ask for more to time to comply.
I'm not sure but I think unless you are closing down for good you will have to pay employees. Check the ACAS website.
