Dear all

I have identified a ladder that I am not sure about during a workplace inspection of a new building. The ladder in question has a climb height of 5.5m and has hoop protection starting at 2m. Can anyone tell me is this OK?

I am from a mainly construction background and immediately remember the 4m vertical climb and 9 m slanted climb distances.

All help gratefully received (although not paid for :-)).

Regards

Ken C.

Email me.. there's something on precisely this issue due for publication after Xmas and I can give you the heads-up.

Yes I'm being vague, but it's the sort of question that will take three pages to answer. Anything less and you'll be more confused than when you started.
