Hi everyone,

I am desperately seeking some advice from you guys on an issue that has been rumbling on at our site for years with no workable solution able to be found. We have to debur the premium threads (box and pin thread treads) of metal components that can range in weights up to 1000kg. Certain components cannot be removed from the CNC machines until completely finished (debur and surface/internal polishing)due to any faults be found after this stage will not allow the program to be repeated due to tolerances of a very small nature. Our engineers have been working on this since July 2007 without any success to find a solution so we can move away from bypass keys on interlock doors and emery cloth.
We have trialed hand tools with abrasive attachments without success as finish does not pass QA requirements and manufacturing engineers state that there is no 'in-machine' technology that can be sourced to retro fit to the CNCs to automate these processes. Has anyone got experience in this field so they may be able to advice us or recommend an engineering specialist that may assist us in this project?

Starting to very annoyed with the slow progress and would really appreciate some help guys!

Cheers, Gav
