Ought to add, if we want to appoint a person to carry out the Reg 4 duties of the Asbestos Regs is this a good course to attend or can anyone suggest any other?

I'm not sure anyone can state that this is 'THE' qualification that you need but if you have a look at the syllabus for the course you should be able to decide. Naturally a lot will depend on the training provider, especially the practical element.

Not wanting to know if it's 'the one', just as long as i'm not missing a course that 'is the one', if you get what I mean! :)
