Our client requires us to supply our employees with FR PPE to the standard EN531.

We are presently supplying PPE which meets EN533.

The employees need protection from electrical flashover, while maintaining the mobility that lightweight overalls afford.

Can anyone tell me the main difference between the two standards and weather we are adequately protecting our employees ?

This link describes the differences in detail:-

EN531 is a lot more comprehensive than EN533, so not all 533 garments will pass 531.
