Posted By steve e ashton Justa happy little memory, many many moons ago (?'83?)
Chemical Development Laboratory - workers handling toxic etc materials - wall discovered to be asbestos millboard ~80% Amosite. Lab workers evacuated at the run... Panic Panic Panic.
Licensed Asbestos team arrived - set up deocn unit and entered in full protective gear. Asbestos workers evacuated at the run... Panic Panic Panic. "We're not going to work in there - there benzene and things like that! - that stuff's carcinogenic!"
Oh joy... Risk perception is such a wonderful subject.
