Posted By ChrisinMalta Hi all, a few days ago I asked if anyone had any experience of h&s inspections of cemetaries, and although I was grateful for the couple of replies I had, no-one seemed to have a checklist or something similar I could use. I'm hoping that a new reader of this thread may be able to help??? Regards to all, - Chris

Posted By MP Grayson It's more of a town council issue.
Try contacting one of their H/S advisors.

Many issues to deal with, to include:
Who erects head stones etc the council &/or approved persons
Private persons erecting headstones etc. As you have no 'easy' control over somebody doing their own thing on their own plot
Differing HSE inspectors / areas as some have completely different opinions to others
Traceability of who owns what so as you can get a repair [ or even an inspection in some cases] done
Differing religions/races having differing practices
Ages of plots etc and differing cemetery types in the same borough locations
Closed and open grave yards
A mechanical build / test check list is easy up to a point as its a fine line between NDT testing and destructive testing a head stone as a 'wobble' to far can change a solid head stone into an unstable headstone. Thereafter who pays for repairs etc
Soil types
Etc
