Posted By Stefan Daunt To comply with the work at height regs, I have several engineers who require ladder training, although most have been using A frame step ladders for several years without incident. Do I have to have them instructed by an approved ladder training company or can I do it as a practical toolbox talk?

Posted By Jonathan Compton Hi Stefan,
This level of training is easily given by a line manager or supervisor and can be considered as a toolbox talk. Visit hse.gov.uk for some very usefull training notes that they provide to download free, there's a couple of versions, one for a trainer and one as a handout... If you can't find them e-mail me, I think I've got copies
Regards... Jon
