Does anybody have an opinion on what is more suitable for line managers and middle management; the CIEH Advanced Certificate in H&S in the Workplace OR IOSH Managing Safely??? |

You have to ask such a question on the IOSH forum site? IOSH of course, a dam good intro if never had anything to do with safety before. But then I've sat the course and now work thru' an NVQ4.

Hi Badger,
Yes! I have dared utter the name of the competition!!! Don't get me wrong, I appreciate IOSH and all that they do, and indeed, think that the managing safely is a good course. But I wanna get the best "management" training for the various levels of manager, team leader, director etc...
My first qualification was CIEH LVL3 Advanced, then I did NEBOSH Gen, now I'm waiting to start Uni to do Dip and Msc, so I'm well aware of the massive variety of trainig types and providers on offer...
Long live IOSH |

As an ex EHO and Member of CIEH and also CMIOSH I would plump for IOSH course every time.
However it really does depend on the trainer / Course provider! |
