Can anyone point me towards up to date stats for the number of MH injuries, type, body part involved (etc).

I have searched HSE site and can't find anything.

If the HSE doesn't give you quite enough, have a look at a report from the European Foundation for the Improvement of Living and Working Conditions which gives the UK contribution to their Study on the existing situation regarding the impact of work changes on the resurgence of work-related musculoskeletal disorders. This includes manual handling and gives the 4 statistical sources that the UK used.
