Our employees travel overseas and as part of this undergo pre-travel medical screening via an external OH service provider, who will advise on vaccination requirements. Where required employees will arrange for vaccinations via their GP or OH provider.

Our employees retain their own vaccination record. This makes sense to me since it can move jobs with them and can include non-work related vaccinations.

My question - is this record keeping arrangement standard practice and appropriate or should we consider an alternative arrangement - if yes why?

Thanks Steve

It is sensible and good practice for the employer to have a set of upto date records

One company I worked for had people working in almost every country in the world and we had such records
