If this is to answer a set question for study purposes, or you are managing non complex premises, then ITK has given the absolute best answer. If you are needing the information for more than this I would advise some training first.

What training would you advise?
Thanks

Posted By Ron Hunter As Bob suggests, if you have asbestos management duties, then a P405 course may be the correct route for you. (Google P405 for more info.)

I think personally that the P405 course has benefits and drawbacks. For me, unless you are managing an organisation with recognised significant asbestos risks it can be rather OTT. After all most organisations have a small number of premises with relatively few ACM risks present. In these situations bespoke or otherwise tailored courses around the regulation 10 requirements with assistance on creating and managing the AP are far more suitable for the general employer.

Posted By adamh Seano,
As per Bob's advice P405 would probably be more than you require, a half day awareness training session, suited to all staff working on the fabric of you buildings and thier supervisors plus a half day managment training session for yourself and any other personnel involved in the management process. The awareness training will also meet trainng requirements of Reg 10.
Once you have completed the training you will have a greater understanding as to the requirements of Reg 4, The Duty to Manage and management plans.
Please contact me if you would like any more information on these courses.
