Posted By Crim Hi,
If a CDM-C produces a form F10 and notifies the HSE of a site that is non notifiable under the Regs, does the project require a full CDM H & S Plan?

Posted By Robert K Lewis It certainly doesn't need the CDMC either. Having said that one would anticipate that a competent contractor would haves some sort of plan for the work even if it is a single page of A4 for a simple piece of work. The complexity merely grows with the size of the job.
The CPP is produced by the PC - No notification - No PC - No CPP.

Posted By Crim Thanks Bob, I usually produce the relevant safety information for non notifiable jobs but as this one has been notified I wondered if the HSE could be looking for more?

Posted By Ron Hunter They (HSE) might well look for more - regarding the competency of the CDM-C who accepted the appointment, and who will of course, as part of his legal duties, have explained to the Client his duties under CDM for Projects not meeting Notification thresholds..........

Posted By Mart To clarify matters. Non notifiable projects do not require a CDM Co-Ordinator?

Posted By Crim OK thanks to all - we've established that if non notifiable there is no need for CDM-C or PC etc. Now what if there is an element of demolition i.e. a single partition wall to come down, does this make any difference?

Posted By Ron Hunter No difference in the context previously discussed. Demolition is no longer automatically notifiable (CDM 2007). A written plan is required but a CDM-C is not, unless notification time thresholds apply.
