Posted By Dave Walters Our company performs surveys occasionally requiring the lifting of cast iron manhole covers. Obviously the best solution is either a two man lift or the use of a hydraulic lifter. It is ineffective to task two person teams on jobs where there may be no need for heavy lifting and inner city locations like London do not lend themselves to 'close to the job' parking, so lugging a hydraulic lifter around the city is out of the question. Anyone know of any other solutions available for this kind of manual handling?
