Hi All,

Well I knew it would come some day- and of course it has- I have been asked to become involved in the quality aspect of construction.

I am just wondering can anyone suggest literature that I could read up on to highlight what to look out for with respect to quality in the field of construction.

90% new build (50/50 social & private)- mixture of 2-3 storey housing, 2-9 storey apartment blocks), 10% refurb to give you an idea of what we are looking at.

I await with interest your advices.

Lee

it all depends on whether you mean quality as in the standard of work or quality as in overseeing and auditing a business management system.
Obviously, unless youve got very good experience in construction, preferable earnt "on the tools", then you aint gonna be able to recognise a quality job when you see it.
