anyone got any thoughts on working outdoors on a construction site n stormy weather and lightning.. /the point was raised to me by someone who saw one of our engineers holding the staff while it was lightning...

My thoughts are that weather conditions should be covered in risk assessments and safe working procedures already and it would be quite alarming to learn they were not.

My advice in a lightning storm would be to halt work. . . . dont know about you but i dont like the idea of standing on 60 feet of steel framing in a lightning storm. . . . . Why not just wear a top with a target too. . .

However as the above poster said, this should be covered by procedures and/or RA's.
