Posted By DJ I have noted that the above mentioned BS in relation to the requirements of is the international standard, for meeting the workstation requirements under Regulation 3 and the Schedule to the Display Screen Equipment Regulations. Can anybody who has a working knowledge of this BS tell me a bit about its contents (other than the list of contents which is printed in the Guideance to the DSE Regulations)? Would it be worth purchasing the BS? Any assistance would be gratefully received. Regards. DJ

Posted By Kieran J Duignan DJ Whether this standard is 'worth' purchasing depends on the purposes for which you are considering it. Other than for designing control rooms or similar specialist work settings, as an ergonomist and CMIOSH, I wouldn't see much advantage from investing in this title by comparison with spending the same or less money on an ergonomic guide with explanation of relevant physiological, psychological and engineering research such as 'Ergonomics. How to DEsign for Ease and Efficiency.' Kroemer, Kroemer & Kroemer-Elbert, Prentice Hall, 2nd or 3rd editions.
