Posted By Richie Pete, How secure are the premises? Can the fire service gain access to the water supplies without reasonable risk of falling in? How deep is the water? All very pertinent to the advice you might receive. Richie

Posted By peter_s thanks everyone. Richie- in response to you, the pond is intermittently filled with water under flood conditions up to a depth of 1 metre up to 20 days a year. The site is very secure - fully high fenced and access to emergency services would not be a problem. cheers, Peter

Posted By Gary Derrick I have just had sight of a document produced by the RNLI which advises on similar issues in the coastal setting. It is called A guide to coastal public rescue equipment. It is well worth reading and in the absence of anything more specific, applying to the setting you have described. Regards Gary Derrick
