Posted By Jay Joshi Although you have not been required to maintain a statutory register, Regulation 7 of PUWER refering to specific risks requires employers to ensure that:- (a) the use of that work equipment is restricted to those persons given the task of using it; and (b) repairs, modifications, maintenance or servicing of that work equipment is restricted to those persons who have been specifically designated Thise designated must receive adequate training In a nutshell, you do not have to maintain a statutory register, but have restrict the mounting of abrasive wheels to designated persons. It is implicit that you have to maintain a record of such persons.
