I'm having trouble finding the information I want through the HSE's prosecutions database, mainly as it's not always that easy to interrogate.
However, am quite sure the company I am looking for information on has been previously prosecuted, but I can't find details.
I have phoned the HSE, who have told me in order to request information on a particular company I need to fill in a freedom of information request??
I don't understand this when you can interrogate their database on exactley this information (despite me not being able to find it!).
Any ideas?

I have and still can't find anything, which if the prosecution was over 5 yrs old I won't.
Also am fairly convinved there has been something about them, but not sure why it's not showing on there.

If you search by cases then by defendant name it should appear if within the last 5 years. Try not to be too specific with the name as this can cause issues for the search.

Hi Brenda.
The database for prosecutions dates from April 1999. [That for Notices dates from 2001]
Older cases against corporate bodies are at

If you're a member of IOSH, ask the Technical Officer in the IOSH library for help on this. I've found her both a mine of information and extraordinarily helpful.
