can anyone clarify whom is responsible for carrying out consumer unit testing of site cabins should it be;
the hire company whom only supply the cabin and dont actually wire it up;
or is it the principle contractors/contractors duty to ensure that it is carried out.
and at what intervals should it be undertaken?
many thanks in advance.

i've never known the cabin contractor undertake the testing & Certification of the site cabin distribution unless it has been included within there contract.
Normally the Principle Contractor will employ a competent electrical contractor who will install the distribution network to supply all the cabins and will undertake the initial certification.
As a temporary installation the distribution network and cabins should be inspected on a three monthly basis.

It has to the the contractor on site. The provision & test of a satisfactory earthing of the installation is a key consideration - and surely the contractor's responsibility.
