Posted By COLIN BLACKMAN Having just seen the statistics regarding H.S.E. inspections in construction refurbishment in february [30% of sites work stopped]and numerous enforcement notices,i am interested in what construction health and safety advisors have to say in this matter,is it a case of poor advice being given to site management,or good advice being given but ignored.I am not criticising health and safety advisers but clearly something is going wrong when so many sites are cause for concern.

Posted By Dave Wilson Colin I think this was a targeted approach at the Refurb trade rather than 'building sites' if you see what I mean.

Posted By COLIN BLACKMAN The H.S.E. website makes it clear that the inspections related to construction sites visited where refurbishment was carried out and enforcement notices were served on construction companies.
