NCFE Intermediate Certificate in Occ H&S (level 2)

Has anyone heard of this course and whether it's equivalent to the Nebosh Certificate and / or can be used for CPD? It's a distance learning course with 4 units to complete.
I've been sent a pack and was considering it for some of the staff (they are office based and across a number of sites so distance learning would be preferable). It looks OK as a general introduction to H&S but was wondering if anyone else had come across it in their travels?
Thanks

This is a lower level than the General certificate - I have taught this level at a local college via distance learning and mentoring, and those who were completing this level were using it as part of the safety sections of an NVQ 2 social care qualification.
If the books are still in the same format, they are clear and easy to understand for beginners who have no previous H&S experiences to draw on.
Not in the same league as the certificate level, however.
Hope that helps your thought process.

Thanks Glyn.
The staff in question are responsible for the day to day H&S within their specfic office(s). They will be attending a 2 days course I've put together on office risks, accident investigation and DSE assessments as an introduction to H&S but thought the course would provide them with a recognised qualification.
I've done the Nebosh Certificate myself and think that course (at this stage anyway) would be too in-depth for them as they complained that previous training was not related to the type of work they do and this course seemed to look at broad topics rather than specifics where the person may be required to have some knowledge of industry etc.
