Posted By John Fitzmaurice If anyone can answer me this it would be greatly appreciated. If a sub-contractor has a dangerous occurance on site; is it the principal or sub-contractor that has the duty to report it under RIDDOR?

Posted By David Matthew To quote from RIDDOR it's the duty of the responsible person which in the case of a dangerous occurence is the person in control of the premises. I'd therefore be inclined to believe that it's the PC not the subcontractor. Unless of course the PC are saying that they aren't or wheren't in control.
