I work in an industrial environment that produces a lot of dust & fumes with its processes.
When I approached the company to see if I could see the risk assessment for these, I was told that they were held in the office for use by management.
When I pointed out that employees had a right to see the risk assessments I was told that as there was no risk then I did not need to read them.
Can I force the company to make all their risk assessments available to the workforce?

Hi MGP57.
This might help:
Regulation 10 of the Management Regs 1999:
'Every employer shall provide his employees with comprehensible and relevant information on':
(Amongst other things) - 'the risks to their health and safety identified by the assessment'
Regulation 11 in relation to co-operation and co-ordination might come in handy as well.
Cheers,
S.
