Posted By Kevin Roper To all, this may be a strange request... but has anyone undertaken a Risk assessment for a member of staff who has (now) been registered as disabled. This assessment is for a airside worker who has reduced mobility in one arm and is increasingly getting worse to a state that the limb can't be moved. The activities carried out by this person is a co-ordinating role for aircraft flight's and am concerned that the recognised hazards could be blind to the management in satisfying the DDA requirements.

Posted By Kieran J Duignan Kevin The DDA explicitly indicates that it is subordinate to valid health/safety considerations. Duncan Abbott (www.enricosmog.com) has published a useful guide to risk assessments of a huge and diverse range of disability conditions which include the one to which you refer. I've no financial interest in his business but believe the guide is good value for £40.00 + postage
