Posted By Brando All, Being a forgetful sort I had to look up this morning the time period for reporting 3 day injuries ( stop laughing!! ). The HSE website says 10 days but for some reason I had 7 days in my head so I phoned the help line. The nice lady at the help line said that there is no period - just report as soon as you can ( ???!!!!! ). So I presume 14 days is OK?? Brando

Posted By peter gotch Nothing new there Brando! With the benefits of modern communication the legislators thought it necessary to increase the time period from 7 days under RIDDOR85 [and previous reporting requirements]to 10 days under RIDDOR95 ?!?! Regards, Peter

Posted By ITK The HSE info line is run by National Britannia, not HSE. Methinks the person you spoke to has misinterpreted "quickest practicable means" as "report as soon as you can". The correct info is report by the quickest practicable means, followed up by F2508 within 10 days.

Posted By Fred Pratley Being as RIDDOR includes weekends, 10 days almost equals 7 working days??? I try to have "Over 3 days" done on the internet within a week of them happening - but anything more serious (life threatening level) is a get your facts together and phone scenario. Then you have time for the written report.

Posted By ITK OK then "as soon as is practicable". Followed up by the F2508 within 10 days.
