In one of the HSE guidance documents it refers to the following Medical considerations include:- pre-employment fitness screening is recommended, as are 5 yearly checks for the over- 40’s. general health, particularly mobility/agility vision, which should not normally be less than 6/12 with both eyes hearing Training Unfortuntely I am not at my office today but I am confident that there is an example medical form in one of them. I would be concerned if the person could not hear for example a reversing warning device of a HGV or a horn.May I suggest that a audiometric test maybe appropriate as a starting point. Regards. Nick
