Posted By Heathrow Hi, I've been asked by the management to put together a pictoral check list for a safety walk round for them. Is there anything in the public domain I could nab ? Any help is as ever greatly appreciated

Posted By Heathrow Sorry about that !
Construction. Its an easy enough task to get done but as ever it eats up time from the more important jobs. Thanks people

Posted By Heathrow I'd kind of resigned myself to that already - its the assembling it all coherently on the new inspection form i wasn't looking forward too !

Posted By Mitch What format is your Inspection Form in? I always use word (I'm more familiar with this package) and use a tabular format so that if you use a digital camera you can just insert relevant pic's where required.

Posted By Ron Hunter Don't Managers make the strangest requests?
The Checklist I would use would be based on HSE Publication CIS 17.
It would be a somewhat hellish task to put a picture against each item on that list, but maybe a seperate picture of a scaffold showing all the significant elements would be of some use to the "uninitiated"?
I have to say that those involved in inspections should be competent. They shouldn't need pictures!

Posted By Robert. Agree with Ron. Checklists and pics tend to give a "tunnel vision" approach. More relevently experienced individuals look at the wider picture and categorise relating to significance.

Posted By BethR Look in the GE700 from the CITB, that has a few examples of inspection check lists.
