Dear all
The terminals I am working for, involves lifting of different kinds of cargo such as
plastic bag (one tonnes)
roll of metal sheets
logs
Workers are required to release the sling after the cargoes land on the lorry (working at height!!). I am searching if there is any auto-detach lifting gear to eliminate such manual operation.
Should you have any ideas, please share with me.

There are certainly shackles available which do as you describe but you would probably need different types for different operations.
Try a Google search for "quick release" or "ground release" shackles & hopefully you will come up with a local supplier who can bring in some examples to demonstrate to you.
