Posted By Lukasz Quick question:
Keeping air compressor next to tank for diesel storage (2500L) should be avoided or if control measures implemented it can be kept within building? Thanks

Posted By Mitch Lukasz,
Diesel is fuel, a compressor, electric or diesel is a possible souce of ignition think FRA and levels of housekeeping you can practically achieve with a diesel tank.

Posted By Guderian Diesel isn't much of a flammable risk. Its flashpoint/auto ignition temp is too high.
Its not even classed as flammable under CHIP.
Its really only any issue if spray/high pressure leaks can happen, especially in a restricted space.
There also has to be a strong source of ignition e.g. a very hot surface or naked flame.
Its more of an environmental issue if it leaks - bund the tank.
Ensure the tank is inspected/in good order and try to use continuous pipe if possible to restrict the chance of leaks, if need be.
