http://www.bpa.org.uk/sa...2002%20-%202006%20Tables(highlighted)(corrected%20for%20nonaccidental%20deaths).xls

In 16 years and over 3 million jumps 38 fatalaties. We have 9 a day on uk roads. Think I'll stay with the sky, people don't pullout infront of you.

Sport Scotland published a report on Mountaineering incidents, which might help (copyright free.)
They say “This report provides an analysis of mountain accidents in Scotland over a ten year period and gives an objective basis for looking at risks and hazards in the mountains”
http://www.sportscotland...taineering+Incidents.htm

There is also a good public access site on Outdoor Activities Safety Research (for schools etc) which might help, although it is a bit antidotal. http://www.huntersafety.zoomshare.com/
