Posted By John Ronan Hi Gang,
I have just devised a safety audit system that I want to introduce this year. My idea is to have a dedicated internal audit team who will cross over service areas to complete "independent audits"
I am just about to start work on my training package for these auditors and was wondering if anybody had any or knew were there are any PowerPoint presentations that I could fine tune.
Any info would be most welcome.

Posted By Ron Hunter Have you devised an Audit 'system', a 'tool' or an Audit 'program'?

Posted By John Ronan Hi Ron,
It's an audit tool basically comprising of an excel file containing various audit sheets and a scoring system, that links into a summary sheet producing various graphs. Each audit topic has some guidance notes with them as to what to look for and how to score.
Most of the audit team will comprise of managers and supervisors, but there will be a mix of safety reps and front line staff thrown in there with no auditing skills. I need to provide them with the knowledge and audit skills, therefore I am preparing some classroom stuff and some practical stuff.

Posted By Ron Hunter Sorry I've nothing to help you John. There are those who conduct Audit Training, some with their own systems (e.g. RoSPA etc.)all of whom will be rather precious about their developed professional presentations.
On a personal note,I wouldn't involve Safety Reps and general staff in conducting audits. Safety Tours fine, but not Audits. Involvement in the process and in discussion of the findings, also fine.
