Is it just me or is everyone else experiencing problems using the forum search facility?

I cannot search on contributors' name - and I am certain I used to be able to ...

It makes it harder (impossible) to search for earlier threads and contributions...

Steve you just input it in the 'members name' box when you click on the 'search forums' link

The search facility has never worked for me.

I could c*p a thread title from the front page and the search message would come up saying the terms don't match or something similar. I gave up on it.

I just used the facility in respect of you both, for a search on member 'steve e ashton' I got 200 discussion threads returned and for a search on member 'CW' got 109.

Note I always set the bottom two boxes to 'all years' and 'all forums'.

Top right front page just click on go unless your search is IOSH web related as opposed to forum specific; once there click on the 'search forums' under keyword box, then when the 'search the forums' page fires up, enter whatever information you need by date name, and when, (last week month year etc)or member name, choose the forum or click on 'all' and it WILL be revealed.

Honest Steve, it does work;-)

Note that the period to search box is set to "one week" by default - it's easy to forget to change this and thus get no hits.

OK thanks guys - I was trying to search on surname only - I am sure this used to be possible? Entering the full name gets the result I was looking for.

Thanks

Steve
