Our guys undertook Scissor Lift Training 3 years ago and the training provider is advising that we now need refresher training

This isnt an area I have any knowledge of

Do we need refresher training after 3 years or is it just advisible ??

Thanks for any input

3 years is a reasonable refresh period.Things change, best practice evolves, bad habits can become ingrained, skills can be lost due to insufficient practice.
I support the general principle of a 3 year refresh.

Training is very much down to assessment of the user, 'they' may only use a SL once or twice a year, in which case having someone on-site to run through pre use checks, safety, etc etc would be beneficial to you; for the SL a suitably trained supervisor could ensure regular monitoring of the user/s and reduce refresher training to say 5 yearly.

Greatly depends on frequency of use by the individuals (IMO) for this particular MEWP, I used to carry IPAF for the lot, but have not been active lately in getting up there, so I would be a classic case for retraining, no-one on-site to look after me or ensure that my training for these is as good as it should be, frequency in my own case would be sooner.

It does greatly depend on what you have in place now.
