Posted By Paul A. Swift Hi there,
Please can anyone confirm the exact meaning of the packing symbol showing the umbrella with raindrops falling on it.
I assume it means 'keep dry'. However, we have received 2 packing crates from abroad - one has just the symbol, but the crate itself appears to have been weather-proofed; The other has both the symbol and the words 'Keep Dry' underneath it. I assume that they both mean the same, as with H&S Signs with and without wording, but prefer to make sure. Also, please can anyone point me in the direction of the standard that specifies this?

Posted By Paul A. Swift Mitch,
Thanks for that, but I had already found this site. It isn't so much that I don't know what it looks like, but I want to confirm the meaning of the symbol and if it has a different meaning depending upon any worded legend appearing with the sign.
The end client is also asking this question so I need to try and clarify the exact meaning, hence trying to identify if there is a BS / ISO standard for these symbols and there meaning.
Regards.
Paul
